This is one of those weird times of the year when it’s sometimes warm enough to wear shorts and other times (like this morning) it’s 35 degrees and the wind is blowing. I’ve been looking through the best way to dress for the ever-changing temperatures, and below I have a few of my best tips!
PULLOVERS ARE YOUR BFF
This is the time of year when pullovers are best suited! wear them over a tank top or a snug tee so your fit for any weather.
A light pair of jeans will keep your legs warm without looking too warm. With the tee or tank underneath your pullover, the look can easily transition between varying temperatures without you risking the warmth of your pretty legs.
A nice, chunky pair of sandals will give the illusion that your feet are covered while you can still show off your new pedi giving off all the spring feelings.
GRAB A SUMMERY/SPRING BAG
Woven bags are still a thing, so to top off your look grab a bag that gives off island vibes risk-free since you don’t have to worry about this piece keeping you warm. See a few options here, here, and here.
A fun silk bandana (you can see plenty of options here) tied around your neck or wrist will keep your look grounded in the temperamental weather as you’re covering a little more skin but aren’t prepared for arctic temperatures.

Happy Sunday Morning! With it feeling like early spring here in Georgia, this denim jacket has been a part of my uniform recently. As this new year moves on, it’s interesting to look back at what I wore a year ago and see how much my style has evolved to what I like and enjoy, rather than thinking about how others expect me to look or dress. I’ve never really allowed myself to be casual because I felt it was laziness or that I wouldn’t be as pretty, but 2017 taught me to start caring about the right things and what the people around me thought didn’t really cross my mind anymore.
Southern ideals can often be misrepresented into what women “should” look or dress like, and growing up in the south all my life has made me a victim to that one way or another. It’s fun to challenge myself and even those around me by wearing much less makeup, cutting my hair short, and tossing the heels I wore everyday for shoes that are actually comfortable. I’m really looking forward to getting into 2018 as a time of self-exploration in what makes me feel confident and beautiful.

OK, so this outfit is LIVING PROOF that all you need to look French is a striped shirt, square scarf, and white sneakers (the coffee doesn’t hurt either).
We were off shopping this weekend and it was a nice 63 degrees! Not quite Christmas weather, but I was more than happy to break out the scarf I got from Paris. We snapped these photos with Starbucks in hand, I thought the coffee would compliment the look nicely.

I love the color white. It is so beautiful and simple and it goes with everyone and just about everything. So Labor Day being a thing of the past this year will not stop me from wearing these comfortable and perfect white shorts from Old Navy (but really, has it ever stopped me?). Who knew Old Navy had such great basics? Not me.
I love halter top type pieces because I really like my shoulders and they make me feel so confident. This chambray piece fits wonderfully and goes with anything. One downside to this top is that it has a tendency to wrinkle (as you can see from some of the photos) but that’s not a big deal to me.
This Lo & Sons bag though! I may have to do a separate post just about it. It is the perfect cognac color, and has so many pockets for me to organize my things. The leather is so incredibly soft and its simple design goes well for casual and more fancy outfits.

Do you wear white after Labor Day?
