Happy Hump Day!
It’s really interesting to me how throwing on a pair of sneakers with a casual outfit can look so Parisian. This jumpsuit has been such a staple this summer as it’s black (doesn’t show sweat stains) and made of a light material so even though it covers a lot of my body it feel lighter than any alternatives.
During my capsule experiment I started looking at my favorite clothes and what it was that I really loved about them. I have a curvier and athletic frame, and I always feel drawn to cinched waists like in this jumpsuit, or like with this dress. My waist is actually pretty small (26″ thanks to all the yoga planks!) so when I wear clothes that show the differences in my proportions it’s very flattering on me.
I guess the lesson here is that instead of being frustrated with your body or clothes, it’s helpful to take your time to really explore styles and proportions. Your style will likely evolve naturally as you get older (I think mine has changed at least 5 times in the last 5 years) so don’t be obsessed with the end result but rather enjoy the process. The process is a fun learning experience and a way to show some self-love!
